Kelly Tarlton's Sea Cave Adventure reimagines a section of the aquarium into an immersive showcase of the Hauraki Gulf marine reserve, connecting visitors to the ecology on their doorstep and the case for protecting it.
The project began with user research and journey mapping. Experience concepts were then developed and tested directly with visitors, balancing spectacle and storytelling to engage people of all ages while keeping the conservation message at the centre.
