Mōwai Student Health & Counselling

Mōwai is grounded in a kaupapa of care and inclusion, creating a safe, culturally responsive environment where all students feel supported to access the services they need to connect, heal, and thrive.

The space brings together general medical services, counselling services, and a dedicated Rainbow Space with its own lounge, study area, and staff office, each zone designed to meet different needs while feeling part of one cohesive, welcoming whole.

The signage approach draws on themes of warmth, comfort, and shelter, reinforcing Mōwai's purpose at every touchpoint. Rather than simply directing people through the space, the design works to make it feel safe and culturally grounded, an environment that supports students before they've even reached the service they came for.
